1 Day…We’ve Gone to the Dark Side

This season the beauty trends seem to be leaning towards the dark side. Try an updated, more-elegant “goth” look with a dark lip and a simple eye. For those that are timid to try this look, I think a gloss would be more suitable. I tried it by mixing some black eyeshadow with clear lip gloss before applying and was pleasantly surprised.

Want an even edgier look? Try a dark lip with a reddish/orangeish eyeshadow. When choosing a red eyeshadow, stick with something matte.

I’m in love with this feathered, smokey eye. It seems like it would be really easy to do, too! After doing a regular smokey-eye shape just take an angled brush and add the feathered lines around the outer edge. The picture also appears to have some gold shimmer on the inner lids. This is definitely a look I want to try the next time I go out.

I think these looks are edgy, but if used correctly, could be very elegant.
