I have been using wire for a while to make necklaces, however i just started using it in ring making! All you need is some silver/gold plated wire and some needle nose pliers, both of which can be found at your local craft store. I went to Michael’s and they had so many options, from different beads and jewelry to add, to an assortment of wires to choose from.
Once you pick out the materials you would like to work with its time to get started!
The first step in creating the basic wire ring is to figure out what you want it to say. The message should be short and sweet. Below are a few examples I created for some inspiration.
initials: b <3 m (b heart m)
cute sayings: top: one love (one <3)
initials: bottom: b <3 m
nicknames: cler (middle finger)
cute sayings: one <3 (index finger)
Once you have an idea of what you would like to say, cut off about 3 inches of wire to start bending/twisting. The words you twist your wire into will obviously be in cursive since they will be connected. I found it helps to sketch out your word on paper first so you have an idea in your head of what the ring will end up looking like. After you have your image, take your needle nose pliers and start creating!
Once you have finished wrapping, you will need to attach a band for the ring to stay around your finger. Measure out the wire long enough to fit around whichever finger you would like to wear the ring on. You will need a little extra wire to hook the band on to your design.

It may take a few times before you get it right, but once you get it they’re fun and easy to make! Let me know if you try it out or have any questions!
