6 Days…Black and White and White and Black

Black and white has to be one of the biggest trends this Spring. It was all over the runways, as seen above from Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang, and now it’s everywhere in stores. I especially loved how Marc Jacobs paired different black and white patterns together.

This high-contrast look is great because of its diversity. It can easily be interpreted as edgy, mod, pretty, or extra bold by mixing different black and white prints.

Power Clashing

In the most recent episode of Girls (and possibly my favorite episode to date), Elijah picks out a mixed-print outfit for Hannah and calls it “power clashing.” I love this new term for mixing prints and I’m excited that it’s supposed to be trending this Spring.
