One of my favorite things about New York City is the abundance of street vendors and flea markets. Not only are they awesome to find unique pieces, but they also inspire creativity and motivation to create my own DIYs.
New York, NY Part 2

- We rented bikes to ride around the city and across the Brooklyn Bridge, both LivingSocial and Groupon had coupons for NYC bike rentals, so it was relatively inexpensive and a great way to see a lot in one day.

Most people don’t think of the beach when they think of New York, but Rockaway beach is fun and a great escape from the sometimes overwhelming Manhattan. The boardwalk is clean and has a lot of awesome food trucks/stands. Also, certain areas of the beach allow for surfing. Even though while I was there, the waves weren’t very big, I was able to paddle around on a surfboard for my very first time, and it’s definitely something I’m interested in pursuing further.
