I don’t watch MTV, nor do I even really know who this girl wearing a cigarette on her head is. However, I do like when people take risks with their style, even if it’s something as strange as wearing a cigarette.

Menswear For Women

It could be my new position in menswear that is inspiring this post, but I think there is something so cool yet powerful about a woman in menswear. The trick to perfecting the menswear look is to keep a least one piece tailored or fitted. You don’t want to completely loose your feminine shape, and too baggy of clothing can look sloppy. Also, try a pink oxford shoe or a fitted floral blazer to keep your girly touch!

My day-to-day style tends to be on the basic side. I believe every girl should have the essentials covered in her closet with a few trend pieces throughout the seasons. With that said, I know some of you out there might be thinking that a simple look is boring, but they allow accessories to take a big step in. Try a pairing your basics with a statement piece. Whether you make a statement with a necklace, watch, bangle, shoe or purse, a statement piece can revamp any basic.

I’m more than happy that leather is sticking around for the warmer weather. Usually we’re stuck with nothing but ruffles for Spring, so it’s nice to see something with a bit more of an edge. The leather for Spring look is a great way to mix hard with soft, especially if you pair it with pastels or lace.
