For those of you who don’t know, The Great Gatsby is a classic novel written by the great, American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The novel takes place in New York during the 1920′s, a time where both Prohibition and the “Roaring Twenties” were in full swing.
The plot is a twisted story of deception, loss, money and love with extravagant parties and in my opinion, great fashion. It was a time of glamour with drop waists, flapper dresses, large coats, chic hats and head bands. Even the men’s fashion had a greatness to it in the 20′s, with the fitted suits and upscale active wear. This year, the 1920′s made a comeback cameo on Fall 2012 runway’s, showing up in classic trends of the time period.

If there were ever a decade I could go back and experience the fashion, it would definitely be the 1920′s. With that said, I am so excited for the release of the 2012 rendition of the Great Gatsby!
